prep a simple moving arm circuit (perhaps servo's and/or pneumatic's)
then prep parts to duplicate that circuit (x times depending on how many students)
then show kids how the completed circuit works in detail

finally have kids each solder 1 of the thru-hole wire's
     then test their completed circuit

Electronics class agenda (draft)

Intro

Welcome to the Mill Creek Makers
we will combine art, electronics, programming and math
  to make things!

About me:
I am a programmer, DBA, network admin, guard member
(I am NOT an electronic engineer)

I hope to give you confidence that you can make things.
 Indiana has and needs manufacturing

My vision is that you can have a kickstarter campaign before you leave HS.

Your input/feedback will decide our direction

Prize Fund

To provide added/accelerated incentives, and get STEM kickstarted faster, I wanted to setup a prize "fund" with the school, so that we could offer prizes for children/students/makers who do things like:

---►100_word/1_page essay on a maxwell equation.
---►design, build, and bring in a circuit (such as a buck converter)
---►win a contest for improvements to Mill-E15

Prizes like:

---►$10 - $20 cash prizes
---►subscriptions to Makezine, Elektormagazine, popular mechanics, etc
---►win multimeters, soldering irons, heat guns, etc
---►discounts to http://makerfaire.com/  (or mini makers faire)

I would be willing to fund the acnt if tax-deductable via a school acnt/fund)
...else I could setup a 501c3 org (but would take more time)

I welcome thoughts...
